SICK Ready-To-Install Safety Systems
Thursday, December 7, 2017

In the world of industrial automation and control, safety is always first and foremost.  You need to protect your workforce and machinery all while remaining efficient and capable, so it is of paramount importance that you have reliable safety systems in place.  For that reason, Rilco is proud to partner with SICK USA, a world leader in innovative point-of-operation devices, optical perimeter and area guards. The advanced functions of their safety control devices include fixed, floating, and multiple point floating blanking, Presence Sensing Device Initiation (PSDI) and multiple configurable muting controls.

There are myriad conventional methods for protecting hazardous areas, but many are limited in both accessibility and flexibility.  Introducing the Safeguard Detector, a complete safety solution for packaging machines that contains all that is necessary for the implementation of safety functions such as safety controllers, project planning software, safety characteristic value calculations, etc.  It is also TUV-approved reaching a level of safety required for any application tailored specifically for use with packaging machines.

In the business of making tires? SICK offers its Safe Tire Curing solutions to protect the hazardous areas around tire curing machine that are used to produce, shape and vulcanize green tires. Particularly for older, non-compliant plant models, SICK is dedicated to a solutions-based approach to safety technology and to address the specific challenges posed by any number of applications and use experience specialists like those here at Rilco Industrial Controls to quickly retrofit plants thus minimizing the need for customers to tie up their own precious resources.  These services include risk analysis, safety concepts, safety hardware and software design, installation, commission and validation processes.

The discipline of safety technology in both mechanical and plant engineering is an exacting one and requires in-depth specialists with expertise and a continuous awareness of the standards (i.e. the current Industry 4.0) that are currently in place.  For that reason, it is necessary for plant managers and engineers to seek out the right safety experts. At Rilco we are fully trained in the SICK products and services and we can assist you in the modernization that will keep you up to date in a manner both fast and industry compliant.

Call us today at Rilco Industrial Controls and let our team of experts walk you through the SICK USA brand’s line of products and applications to help you find the solutions that best suit your needs.
